本课题组主要研究方向为软体机器人及智能软材料、柔性执行器的磁作动和电磁控制、磁控机器人及其医疗应用,在这些方向上研究基础深厚,研究成果突出,主持和参与了包括中国(NSFC)和美国(NSF)自然科学基金委项目在内的十余项科研项目,目前已在包括Nature Communication (IF:17.69)、Science Advances (IF:14.14)、PNAS (IF: 12.78)、Advanced Materials (IF:32.09)、IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion (IF: 4.877)、Journal of Applied Mechanics (IF: 3.224)在内的综合类、材料类、电子与电气类、力学类顶级国际期刊和会议发表学术论文近40篇,其中1篇入选ESI热点论文,4篇入选ESI高被引论文,4篇被选为封面论文,2篇被Nature Research Highlights引用报道,Google Scholar引用1000余次,申请美国发明专利3项。

研究成果曾获得美国科学院Cozzarelli Prize Finalist Award、ASME Henry Hess Early Career Publication Award、Stanford Bio-X Best Poster Award在内的多项国际学术奖励,并被包括CNN、National Geographic、NSF News、Science Daily、MIT科技评论、科学网在内的几十家国内外权威媒体引用报道并高度评价,引起了广泛关注。
