Low frequency acoustic streaming can be generated around sharp edges, needles, or other small obstacles, as long as the characteristic dimension is smaller than the viscous boundary layer. The SEAS (Sharp-Edge Acoustic Streaming) is fundamentally different from MHz-scale Rayleigh streaming. It also holds significant advantages like scaling-up facility, low power supply, vibration harvesting as input, among many others. This lecture will begin with a brief introduction to the origin of SEAS streaming, some ongoing works at the Université de Paris Cité on transfer enhancement (phase change, mixing, heat transfer) under vibration/acoustic activation.
报告人简介

Prof. Xiaofeng Guo was appointed full professor at the Université Paris Cité (UPCité, former Université de Paris) in 2021. He works in the Paris Interdisciplinary Energy Research Institute (LIED-PIERI), a CNRS laboratory. Previously he worked as an assistant then associate professor at the Université Gustave Eiffel, ESIEE Paris (2013-2021). He was course director for the dip. Ing. in Renewable energy and energy efficiency in ESIEE Paris between 2013-2020. He took his sabbatical year as full time CNRS researcher in 2019-2020. Currently he is in charge of international relations for the University Institute of Technology at UPCité. His research focuses on applied physics on energy with an interdisciplinary approach with other branches like material science, building engineering, etc.
