摘要:
A novel method to prepare porous resin mold for pressure slip casting was proposed by using additive manufacturing (AM) process. AM, also called 3D printing, could realize the rapid fabrication of functional components with complex geometries directly and offer more flexibility compared with traditional production technology. One of the AM processes, Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) was used to prepare the porous resin mold by using a mixed powder as raw material, with polyamide as matrix material and salt (NaCl) as pore-foaming agent. To investigate the process feasibility of the slip casting with porous resin mold, compressive strength and porosity of porous resin specimens were measured. Experiments showed that compressive strength of about 7.19Mpa with elastic modulus of 32.26MPa was achieved. Meanwhile, samples with a porosity of 59.75% were obtained, in which 77.53% pores fell on the range of 25-75μm in diameter. Water permeability of SLS porous resin specimens was also verified in comparison with conventional pressure slip mold. The maximum permeability reached to 0.921mL/ (mm2 •s). Pressure slip casting with normal porcelain slurry was conducted using the SLS porous specimens as mold. Experimental results showed that the moisture content of the green prepared was about 23% and the green density was during 1.84-1.97g/cm3. At last, the proposed method was verified by producing a green body of whiteware with complicated surface to demonstrate the feasibility of pressure slip casting with the porous resin mold prepared by SLS. With further improvements, this method could be used in the porcelain industry to realize rapid development of new products and mass customized fabrication.
