Xie Yunchuan, PhD in Polymer Science, is a Professor at the School of Chemistry. His research focuses on high-energy storage dielectrics under elevated temperature, highly sensitive polymer piezoelectric materials, and high-performance electronic packaging materials. He also serves as the Secretary of the Dielectric Polymer Composites Committee of the Chinese Composite Society.
Dr. Xie has received four prestigious awards, including the Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and the Shaanxi Provincial National Defense Science and Technology Progress Award. From 2008 to 2010, he was a visiting researcher at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He has led over three National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, one Special Fund for Doctoral Programs from the Ministry of Education, two Basic Research Programs of Natural Science of Shaanxi Province, and more than ten collaborations with enterprises. To date, he has published over 50 SCI-indexed papers and holds eight Chinese patents.
