Yang Shiyu is a Professor at the School of Electrical Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University. He has been selected for several talent programs, including a national-level young talent program, Shaanxi Province’s “Sanqin Yingcai” (Young Talent) program, Xi’an Jiaotong University’s Young Top Talent Program (Class A) in China, and the Ezra Scholar program at Cornell University in the US. He is currently a core member of the research team on highly resilient energy and power systems at Xi’an Jiaotong University. He has previously served as a postdoctoral researcher at Cornell University, a tenure-track Assistant Professor at Oregon Institute of Technology, and a Senior Scientist at Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). His research focuses on applying optimal control theory and artificial intelligence to building energy systems, integrated energy systems, and related fields, and he has led multiple research projects, including a topic under a national major science and technology project.
