Research Activities
- My research is attempting to better understand the molecular mechanism of the roles of ion channels in neuropathic pain. In particular, aims to study the function and regulation of Ca2+ channels, Na+ channels and the proteins which contribute to neuropathic pain. Two projects are currently being pursued in my laboratory:
- One is to study sympathetic sensitization.
- The other is to study the excitabilities of dorsal root ganglia neurons and the role of neurons with different excitabilities in pain signal transduction.
