Experimental Platform
Recent developments in the technique of high-precision triple oxygen isotope measurement in the Isotope Lab., Xi’an Jiaotong University have made it possible to acquire high-precision 17O anomaly (Δ17O) data from carbonate and water samples, which are sufficient to detect their natural variations. The Δ17O data of carbonate samples can reflect changes in moisture source and evolution of rainfall, and thus can provide novel insights into the hydroclimate dynamics.
Research Interests
1. Developing the high-precision triple oxygen isotope analysis method;
2. To characterize the moisture source variation and recycle history based on the triple oxygen isotope data (such as speleothem, soil carbonates, foraminifera);
3. Used triple oxygen isotope data for understanding hydroclimate dynamics in some important climate systems;
4. Analysis of triple oxygen isotope in water samples.
