- 摘要:
- A novel 3D printing process for continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites (CFRTPCs) based on fused deposition modeling (FDM) was put forward to realize the low cost rapid fabrication of complicated composite components. The mechanism of the proposed process was described as an integrated transient printing system, which consists of the thermoplastic polymer melting, the continuous fiber hot-dipping and the impregnated composites extruding. A FDM-based equipment for CFRTPCs with a novel composite extrusion head was developed to fabricate composite samples successfully. Flexural strength and the tensile strength of these 10 wt% CF/ABS specimens were improved to 127 MPa and 147 MPa. Moreover, these test results also exposed the very low interlaminar shear strength (only 2.81 MPa) and the inferior interface performance due to the weak bonding between layers as well as fibers and the matrix. Some samples were fabricated to demonstrate the huge potential for the 3D printed CFRTPCs.
