研究方向为拉曼光谱仪器研制、增强拉曼光谱技术及其在生物医学、公共安全领域应用研究。近年来，在多种国际权威期刊，如Chem.Soc.Rev.(1篇), Nature Communications (3篇), Nanotoday(2篇), Nano Letters(5篇)，Advanced Materials (1篇), Advanced Functional Materials (1篇), ACS Nano(1篇), Advanced Science (1篇）100余篇。获批国防重大、重点项目各1项，国家自然科学基金面上项目5项，陕西省关键技术攻关1项，校创新团队等各类项目20余项。获得2019年陕西省高等学校科学技术一等奖（排名第一），2007年陕西省科学技术二等奖（排名第三）。
