2021 International Conference on Materials: Advanced and Emerging Materials

Welcome from the Chair

It is with great enthusiasm that we announce the 2021 International Conference on Materials: Advanced and Emerging Materials (ICM-CN 2021). The conference is organized by the MDPI open access journal Materials (Impact Factor 3.623), and will be held in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China from 21 to 24 November 2021.

This conference will provide leading scientists working in this field with a platform to share their latest research and engage in exciting discussions.

The main topics of the conference include but not limited:

• Electronic Material;
• Biomaterials;
• Smart Materials;
• Energy Materials;
• Advanced Composites;
• Rare Earth Materials;
• Optics and Photonics;
• Advanced Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology;
• Structure Materials and Application;

After the conference, all accepted conference papers will be published in the proceedings of this conference within a dedicated issue of the MDPI journal Materials Proceedings. In addition, all participants will be encouraged to submit an extended full manuscript to one dedicated Special Issue in Materials with a 500 CHF discount on the Article Processing Charge (APC).

Instructions for Authors

To present your research at the event

• Create an account on Sciforum if you do not have one, then click on New Submission on the upper-right corner of the window OR click on Submit Abstract on the Conference website.
• Indicate which thematic area is best suited for your research.
• Submit a 200-word abstract in English - the word limits are minimum 150 words and maximum one page in A4.
• The deadline to submit your abstract is 10 October 2021. You will be notified by 20 October 2021 regarding the acceptance for poster presentation. The poster online submission deadline by 5 November 2021.
• Upon submission, you can select if you also wish to be considered for oral presentation. Following assessment by the Chairs, you will be notified by 20 October 2021 in a separate email whether your contribution has been accepted for oral presentation.
• Please note that, in order to finalize the scientific program in due time, at least one registration by any of the authors, denoted as Covering Author, is required to cover the presentation and publication of any accepted abstract. Covering Author registration deadline is 30 September 2021.

Poster information

Maximum poster size limited to 80 cm x 140 cm, vertical orientation preferred. Please print your poster prior to the conference.
A plan of the poster session will be circulated later on.

Publication opportunities

• All accepted abstracts will be available online in Open Access form on Sciforum.net during and after the conference.
• Participants of this conference are cordially invited to contribute with a full manuscript to our a special issue in the journal Materials. Papers presented at the conference will be granted 500 CHF discount in this Special Issue! Details of the special issue will be announced here later.
• Materials is indexed by the Science Citation Index Expanded (Web of Science), PubMed, Scopus, Compendex (EI) and other databases, and has an Impact Factor of 3.057 (Journal Citations Reports 2020).
