Thermal utilization of solar energy is a developed technology and popular in China, especially for hot water supply. The central solar hot water supply system could provide living hot water for massive users or a building effectively and reliably. To provide the additional heating in the case of no sufficient solar radiation, heat pump was adopted to replace the electrical heating appliances placed in the water tank in this paper, forming a new central solar hot water supply system, so the power consumption can reduce sharply.Co-author:
