1) A new method was developed tofor designing rib prostheses from the centroid trajectory of a natural rib diaphysis was developed.
2) More design freedom can be offered for designingachieved in terms of the cross-sectional area, shapes, and strength of the rib prostheses
3) The dDesigned rib prostheses were manufactured via using FDM technology, and whose their mechanical behaviours was were close similar to those of the natural ribs.
