- 摘要:
- The geometry mapping and shape function used in the ‘mapped spheroidal’ infinite
element [R.J. Astley (1998), Mapped spheroidal wave-envelope elements
for unbounded wave problems. International Journal for Numerical Methods in
Engineering, 41, pp. 1235–54 ] are investigated. The geometry mapping in the
confocal spheroidal coordinate systemwhen generating the infinite elements has a
disadvantage that a line segment in the Cartesian coordinate system will generally
be mapped to a very complicated function, and thereby leads to complex domain
integration over the infinite element. In this paper comparative study for the
‘mapped spheroidal’ infinite element and the generalized infinite element [L.X.
Li et al. (in press), A generalized infinite element for acoustic radiation. ASME
Journal of Vibration and Acoustics] is conducted. The conclusion is drawn that
both advantages of Astley element and Burnett element iswell incorporated in the
generalized infinite element, whereas the ‘mapped spheroidal’ infinite element
seems to be of minor interest.
