        Prof. Tsui, Kwok Leung, Head of the Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management (SEEM) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) and his supervisor team came to the Graduate School at Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU), on the implementation of joint doctoral student project for planned one-day visit on June 1. The accompanying visitors were Prof. Xie Min and Prof. K S Chin. Prof. Chen Tianning, executive vice dean of the Graduate School at XJTU, briefed the guests on the joint PhD student program at the teaching tower conference room.
       “With the deepening of the program we can expand the number of joint PhD students and increase the benefit students.” Prof. Chen said. Then, Prof. Tsui, Kwok Leung answered that during the implementation of the plan we would strengthen the exchange of supervisors to enhance students’ international level. The mission was accompanied by Prof. Dong Guangneng, School of Mechanical Engineering (SME) at XJTU.
        Stepping out the meeting at the Graduate School XJTU, the supervisor team visited the SME and the Theory of Lubrication and Bearing Institute (TLBI). Li Bing, vice president, Wang Zhaohui, deputy secretary and Prof. Dong Guangneng expressed their warm welcome to Prof. Tsui’s team. City University of Hong Kong and Xi’an Jiaotong University, are internationally recognized, high-quality and high-level universities. The two universities were complementary in speciality layout. The joint program will improve the international competition of both sides under their advantages Prof. Tsui and Prof. Li suggested that a few years later the joint program would push the field of communication and generate more results.
      Subsequently, Professor Tsui gave a lecturer on the joint program. Professor Mao Junhong presided over the presentation. Prof. Tsui introduced CityUHK research team and academic directions. Professor Xie and Prof. Chin described in detail the joint doctoral program, and hoped that the majority of students actively enrolled the program. The master and PhD students asked some questions including how to write English papers and how to learn and live in CityUHK, etc., Prof. Tsui, Prof. Xie and Prof. Chin made a patient and detailed answers.
