- Summary:In presentwork,thegas-solidtwo-phaseflowinthemultiple-spoutedbedissimulatedbythe Eulerian–Eulerianapproach,theGidaspowdragmodelischosentodescribetheinterfacemomentum exchange.Thesimulatedresultsagreewellwiththeexperimentalresultsfromtheliterature.Thenthe detailedflowbehaviorinthemultiple-spoutedbedisinvestigatedfor1.0mm,1.4mmand1.8mm glass beads.Theeffectoftheratioofcentral/auxiliaryandauxiliary/centralgasflowonthe hydrodynamiccharacteristicsinthemultiple-spoutedbedisstudied.Thehighvelocityspoutinggas dominatestheflowpatterninthebedandrestrictsthedevelopmentofthelowvelocityspoutinggas. The distributionofvoidage,theprofileofparticlevelocityandthevariationofparticlevolume concentrationareobtained.Thefountainheightandspoutdiameterincreaseswithincreasinggasflow rate initiallyandthendecreases.Theincreasingbedthicknesshasanobviousinfluenceonthe hydrodynamicsinthebed.ForMulti-spouting,thespoutdiameterincreaseswithincreasingbedheight, howeverthebedbecomesunstablewhenthebedthicknessisincreasedto200mm.ForSingle-spouting,thefountainheightdecreaseswithincreasingbedthickness,butthefountainwidthandthe solid volumeconcentrationinthefountainincreases.Theresultsofthisstudyprovideimportant informationontheflowbehaviorwithinthemultiple-spoutedbedandmaybehelpfulforbetter applicationofthistypeofspoutedbedtotheindustrialprocess.
